That is ridiculous. I pay just over that for 3 vehicles. One of them is a track car.
Who do you use. I need to shop around.b4 . Got a month B4 payments due.

American Family Insurance. Home, umbrella, and all vehicles. You can go through Costco to bundle them. And before anyone flames me for using Costco, my home in Stateline went from $5600 to $1700 back in 2020 for fire insurance.
I’ve opened carried in Costco many times with no BS.
so i did get a quote from american family. $200 a year cheaper for the truck.
BUT with state farm the home is $771. American Family is $1652!!!
I’m shocked that SF will write homeowners. It pays to shop around.
Probably out of the $20Kish price range, but I sure love my 2010 Toyota FJ Cruiser 6-speed manual*. Very capable off-road without the maintenance hassles Jeep. Only problem since new was replacing the alternator last year.

im very happy with my 2023 vw taos s fwd, but…it is absolute base. no cassette player sadly. fwd is a decent 8sp conventional auto trans, awd is a jerky dct that needs $700 extra maintenance every 30k miles or so. a cpo could be under $20k.

Honda CRVs are really solid cars, in my experience. I put 120K on a FWD one, with nothing more than on-schedule fluid changes, brake pads and tires. It looked and performed like-new when I sold it. My only real complaint was the interior was insufficiently insulated from road noise. If I needed a small SUV, I’d try to find one (preferably with service records) on the private market…and bring extra cash in case you end up in a bidding war.
