Employment/Jobs - helping our members!

Depends on experience. Medical surgical, Critical Care, Operating room? How many years have you been doing it? If you’re experienced, it shouldn’t be hard to find a job. Are you looking for higher pay or are you focused more on benefits? As far as the big hospitals, you have Sunrise, Mt. view, and southern hills all owned by HCA. Then you have St Rose: San Martin, Sienna, Delima; all owned by Dignity Health. Valley Hospital, Henderson Hospital, Sprimg Valley, Centennial Hills; I believe owned by Valley Health. Then there’s UMC and the VA to round up all the big name hospitals.

15 years experience. Mostly in Med Surg. Some Psych and Detention health. Right now I'll be looking for anything i can get so i don't have to commute 4 hours at my current job till I find something there. I've read that Dignity pays most so I'll be applying there first.

15 years should be easy for you to find a job anywhere in this city especially for med surge. Dignity does pay the most and offers a pension. UMC pays the least, but their benefits and patient ratios are hard to beat. With 15 years under your belt you shouldn't have a problem of finding a job here. Welcome!

Anyone here speak Japanese fluently? I know of an opening for a job. Start date is last couple days of February, first month would be spent in Japan, then probably Tesla Gigafactory after that. If so send me a private message. I don't keep tabs on this thread.

Dignity is good for pay, but be wary of the fact that de Lima is closing. Not sure how they are dealing with new hires and bumping rights. Just something to be aware of.

Closing for good? I can't find anything online about that but I'll take your word for it. Thanks.

Management has been holding their cards close to their vest, and not made any real public statements. They made an announcement a couple of weeks ago in house, after a very last minute email to employees. They say that they don’t know what they want to “transition to”, but want to complete it in 18-24 months.

RJ article here

BTW St. Rose (or Dignity) do not manage the micro hospitals, so it’s a different contract with lower pay.

Now hiring! Concrete Foreman, Finishers, and Laborers in Mesquite area.

Looking for a part time/weekend job. I have loads of driving time in armored, box and panel trucks, no cdl. Worked in convention set up, warehouses and construction. Not afraid of labor. I have pretty strong sales skills as i sold luxury cars for a few years, but would prefer to stay out of heavy customer service work.
