FAA Hiring Controllers starting Today!
From another board ....
If you guys are under age 31 (or have kids who are)...and have any interest in becoming a controller, the FAA has a job vacancy that opens Monday February 10th. Probably open for a week or two. This is for "off the street" hiring.
Salary and benefits are VERY good. (For example...base salary at LA Center is around 145K once certified. With overtime the salary goes way, way above that.
Paid training by FAA, awesome retirement package, and a pretty cool job where you can where shorts, a t-shirt and flip flops to work.
Salary increases through training: IE: 55K, 65K, 89K, 112K, 145K (that's an example at LA Center). Took me about 17 months to go from 55K to full certified.
Obviously, not everybody goes to high level traffic facilities, but the job benefits and salary are still very good across the board.

The wife's job isn't working with her nursing school schedule anymore, so I'm looking for second. I'm currently active duty Air Force so I can really only do weekends, but I'm willing to work 12 hour shifts as it wouldn't be anything new.
I'm going to have a position or two opening up (waiting for HR) they are classified as part time position so I cannot guarantee 40h / week. Most of the time we are busy and use all of our part time but again I will not guarantee the hour. We make the bread for the casino. If you are interested pm me

Is anyone here associated with the Space industry? I'm a Space Applications Engineer with 30 years experience qualifying EEE components for orbital and deep space missions. I'm a CCE, CQE, MRB certified, Clean Room certified, ESS testing, and DPA Lab certified. I've been doing contract work for the past couple years after getting cut at Ball Aerospace & Technologies. Prefer local, but will take contracts in CO, NM, AZ and CA.
