New job offer - Reno area

This is a pretty interesting possibility. An international company producing a specific and patented line of construction equipment machines is looking for a good salesperson for an area of the country.

It's necessary to have previous experiences in b2b sales. The person will have to be good with computers and willing to learn, as the company uses a well developed CRM system for tracking the activities. A very good advantage would be experience in managing a dealer network, our basic dealer is a distributor for Caterpillar, or John Deere, or Komatsu, ecc. and we need to establish them on the free areas as well as follow the immediately after. Any case it will be necessary to be willing to train for a while, to learn the product and the ways to sell it. After training there will be some traveling, about one week a month

Compensation will be with a base salary, initially DOE, plus health plan after 90 days. Furthermore there will be significant commissions. Of the three salespersons we have at the moment, one is on its way to surpass six figures this year and another is going to be at least around three quarter that.

The working atmosphere is quite relaxed, what we want is move all together to reach the goals.

PM me with your résumé to start the discussion. If you apply and don't hear back I apologize in advance, sometimes it's just too complicated to answer to everybody. Rest assured that your application is appreciated and considered.

Looking for my replacement

Hey folks. I'll be relocating to Oregon in a few months and I am interviewing for my replacement.

The job is commercial property leasing and management. The work is part time, roughly 10-3, M-F and is done as an independant contractor. We are looking for someone who has strong sales and marketing experience to help lease up our vacant office and office/warehouse units in 2 business parks. The position will also collect and deposit rent checks, coordinate with tenants for repairs and other issues, inspect the buildings for maintenance issues, answer phones and check/forward mail. The individual must be able to work well independantly with little to no supoervision. A current real estate license with property management permit is a plus, but we will assist the right person to get licensed. Someone willing to do very light maintenance (paint grafitti, sweeping, change lights and filters) is also a plus but not required. Position pays $2000 per month plus expenses.

Resumes can be faxed to (702) 968-8001 or emailed to Lanearas@yahoo.com. Feel free to PM me with any questions.

Thanks!
Tom

Mechanic needed - Las Vegas

Hi there, I am trying to find a hard-working mechanic to work in my busy Volkswagen/Audi/Porsche-based repair shop. Doesn't have to be German-car specific, I'm just looking for someone that is fast and is willing to work on both older and newer German cars.

If you or someone you know is interested, please PM me and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

I'm posting this again since we cannot find anybody worth a dang still...

Okay, my company is in need of a few people for landscape installations.

These jobs are not running a mower all day, we need to hire people for install crews.

-I need a few drivers. This means somebody that can work, and has a valid license. This person is basically a install crew worker, that is also able to drive a truck (no CDL or anything). Landscape experience is a plus, but if you have a license and can work outdoors, and are willing to learn, you're qualified. Will be doing work such a srock install, plant install, minor irrigation work, etc.

-Also needing a install crew leader, a foreman of sorts. If you have a license, that would be ideal. Need to have landscape install experience, irrigation experience, etc. Need to be able to do work such as installing paver patios, full spray and drip irrigation systems, retaining walls, plant materials, so on and so forth.

-Lastly, we need laborers. Again, same duties as a driver without the driving.

Shoot me a PM if you need work, or know anybody that needs work (your sisters boyfriend, your cousin, etc). This will be full time, not day laborer stuff. We need people we can count on that will show up and do their job well. We are a small, but good (busy) company to work for.

I saw posting on Facebook that Battlefield Vegas is hiring, here's the info:

- Military grooming and fitness standards in effect
- Clean driving record
- Military vehicle/HMMWV driving experience preferred
- Must be able to pass drug test
- Strong customer service background
Email (DO NOT CALL) us MSupnick@BattlefieldVegas.com for more information.

Hahaha

On a side note, why are IT companies out here so absolutely horrible? I love Nevada but this is by far the absolute worst time I've ever had finding permanent employment. It seems like after you're done getting someone's project completed and they're suppose to hire you permanent, your services are no longer needed. I firmly believe that companies nowadays just view people as disposable help. If it's one thing I've learned in the current economy it's that hard work, dedication, and loyalty amount to zip squat. I think if people are going to do all of those things it should be for their own company, that seems to be the only place it pays off anymore.

My 0.02

If anyone knows of any decent IT firm that actually KEEPS their people and views them as an asset, let me know, I'll shoot you a resume. If not I'll probably start doing my own thing soon, seems to make a lot more sense these days.

everything in this town is done on a project basis now. 'security is a project, once we're secure, we can get rid of the security people'. i know one big property in particular where this happened. they had a 'security project', spend an a$$load of money buying equipment and bringing in contractors, then let them all go once they were 'secure'. a lot of places out here aren't keeping the talent in-house anymore, just bringing in hired guns, even for their day-to-day stuff. the trick is to get in with one of the vendors that are being used.

Yeah that's pretty much what I've noticed. I feel like an IT mercenary nowadays. There's no real loyalty anymore. I've also noticed the vendor issue as well. Just been waiting for one to hire. I might have to take my network ops job back because at least it's work until November. If things don't get better I'll probably just have to leave or do my own thing.

I know it's a long shot but does anyone know of any legitimate work from home type deals? Most of the stuff online is a scam one way or another but the S/O needs to do something for income even if it just brings in a couple hundred a paycheck. Nothing within walking distance is hiring and there's no bus stops on our side of town (so doesn't/can't drive).

Looking for PT/FT work

I had to retire from my previous work in order to move to Minden and be with the rest of the family.

This is the first time since 1978 that I have been out of work.

I have 27 years of government experience from business development, grants, project management, loan generation to waste management compliance. Have also owned and managed a retail sporting goods store as well as an online motorcycle accessory store.

Looking for work in the retail or government sectors with emphasis on customer service.

College Student Need Help-RENO, UNR

Experienced, educated business professional.

Hey guys,

Blogging and Day Trading for the last few years has been fun, but it is time to get back into something a little more grounded career-wise. I have been fighting against the tide of applicants for a while now and figured that it is never a waste of time checking under every and any rock out there. Hence, why I am posting.

I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a minor in Finance from a State University. I also hold an Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts. (In order to expand my knowledge base.) I have plans on attending UNLV to finish up my MBA, but majority of my class time is online for their program. I have taken multiple courses in management information systems (MIS), computer hardware and software, finance/accounting, and leadership.

The past few years I have been in Vegas managing and writing for a business blog as well as Day Trading. Before moving to Vegas, I was the Estate Manager for the second largest estate in my state. My duties included property management for 10+ private and investment (residential and commercial) properties including direct management of all staff, and acting as manager of Estate owner's trust/estate. Aside from said positions I have also managed retail and service oriented businesses.

Concerning what I am looking for; I am open to new challenges! I am never afraid to fail, just afraid to never have tried. I honestly need a job that I can feel like I have actually accomplished something at the end of the day. I am in my late 20's with a professional demeanor and wardrobe. I have no tattoos or piercings and I have never been arrested. I do not smoke and have no problem taking AND passing an initial and subsequent drug tests.

I know that I have most likely forgotten a few things that should be included in this post, so if you have any questions please feel free to PM me and I will be happy to respond with your answer and, if you like, a copy of my resume and cover letter. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
