Seller states "ill take it" rules, buyer does not make announcement of what he/she will take, seller does not mention who bought items.

If someone has any other examples to help other members, please post. the goal here is to leave a "paper trail" for other members and the staff

So you can't announce or tell the guy he has a PM? I understand if the guy gets an "i'll take it" then it supercedes the PM but why can't you tell him to check his PM? The rest I get and maybe this is not a problem...... I don't know. I am easily confused

You can tell him PM sent. But if you don't say '"I'll take it", you stand a chance of losing out.

I agree and understand that. Lets look at Chucks posting, I'm sure he won't mind. He post a few things for sale, pics, and prices. His location is posted under his avatar.

A man post "PM incoming".

Now if I want to buy Chuck's first item for sale and post "I'LL TAKE ITEM ONE" then I should get item one.

I honestly do not see why or who was told to reread the posting rules in Chuck's posting.

I am NOT trying to be difficult but everything seems great to me.

What would you suggest we do if the PM sent is an offer, but not necessarily an "I'll take it" since the terms haven't been agreed upon? I'd hate to commit to taking something if the seller doesn't agree on the offered price.

"I'll take it" means just that. At the seller's asking price. You can PM the seller to haggle all you want, but someone can beat you to the deal by saying they'll take it.

If trying to bargain with the seller, no need to say PM sent. If a deal is worked out, then post "Ill take it", so everyone knows.

"i'll take it" usually means at the posted price.

if you're haggling, then you could say "if the offer in my PM is acceptable, i'll take it" or if you've been going back and forth on the price, just "per PM, i'll take it".

only problem with that is that nobody else ever knows the actual sale price. not a huge problem, but if you're trying to figure out what an item sells for typically, it can be very handy.

someone needs to tell Requiem to post a pic of his hi-point, we don't know if it's the carbine or pistol... since it's FS in Vegas and he doesn't mention meeting at Metro for the blue card i'm guessing it's the carbine.

The only thing I would like to add is that if peopel are pming to work out a price, the seller should check to make sure someone didn't post an "I'LL TAKE IT" before he tells the negotiating party that he accepts. I guess the best way is even if the seller accepts a negotiators terms, he should let the negotiator know by posting "SOLD TO "negotiators name" in his posting instead of a PM. That way he has to read his post first???????

seller doesn't have to say who bought item(s), but it is nice to acknowledge the buyer. this is common practice on many other forums.
