Up for grab is 1945 Walther P38
What’s interesting about this pistol?
It’s the last ditch.
As you know Germany surrendered in May of 1945.
Walther factory was captured by the allies in April of 1945.
The pistol frame and slide serial indicate that it was manufactured at Walther plant in between March and April of 1945.
Barrel was January of 1945.
Makes this pistol an interesting last ditch pistol. Barrel number does not match because it was last effort and they were cranking out pistols.
Unfortunately the vet who brought this back, nickled or chromed the pistol as many vet made their trophy gun shiny.
Asking 950. Transfer at Ventura unless you have C&R license
