This is an original pair of WW2 Luftwaffe Flak Gunner Binoculars. The binoculars are in great overall condition with excellent optics and fully functional adjustment knobs. The optics have a thin, original reticle that's still visible and crisp. Beautiful optics with no clouding that were professionally cleaned by Zeiss. The exterior has some edge wear and mild patina / surface discoloration but no major issues. Stamped "D.F. 10x80 dkl 41269" with a blue "X" and a red "X".
The lens on the right came off. Anyone with a drill screw thread can make new screws to put them back. I paid $1,200 for them, but I don't have tools to fix them. WW2 German history. You can see what the German Luftwaffe was looking at the sky at the USA B17 on the way to Germany. Good investment or just enjoy.
