We live in the desert, so unfortunately it isn’t very easy to find green wood(hardwoods or softwoods) or even dry wood for whittling. Not really interested in pine. Examples of woods I am interested in are as follows, walnut, basswood, butternut, cherry, maple, birch, mahogany, balsa, cedar, etc. this list is not all inclusive. Dug through Facebook, and offer up to no avail, and I’d prefer not to travel to California. Let me know if ya can help.
Thanks for looking
-Jim

Allied charcoal and wood had walnut last time I was there, was dry though.
I bought an 8th of a cord along with 1/2 of almond and mesquite each, shouldn’t have. Not awesome for grilling, coals aren’t great.
You can have some chunks if they are out and you would like.

Sorry that they didn’t work out for you for grilling, I’d be interested in some mesquite or walnut and I will have a look at allied charcoal for the walnut as well! Thanks!
