I am starting to get a lot of these questions:
"I still have time left on my trading post subscription, or I am a forum 2024 subscriber, but suddenly I can't edit or bump my ad, it has been closed, why???"
Because the forum software automatically closes any ad that has gone a full 30 days without any action, no bumps, or edits by the ad OP in other words. Maintain your ads folks, please!
No one else should be bumping an ad, nor posting comments or questions in the ad, those should be sent via a PM to the Ad OP.
The only thing that someone other than the ad originator should be posting in an ad is an "I'll Take it" or "Seconds on taking it if the first take falls through". etc.
Someone "liking" the ad does NOT reset the 30 day count down.
Only a post in the ad does that, and the ad OP should be bumping it at least once in a week, otherwise after 29 days, the day before the software closes / locks it, it will be 30 or more pages down the list where it will not be seen by anyone, and then I get complaints like "Why hasn't my 1837 &1/3 Shootzengruber Grindleflex left handed titmouse rifle sold? ".
Probably because you posted the ad, then didn't bump it (remember to read the trading post rules about 24 full hours must elapse between bumps!) and after 30 days it was so far down the list and had so much dust and dirt and dead moths on it, the software deemed it dead and closed the casket lid!
