Hey guys,

Where in your opinion is the best place to get ammo in town? I've gone to multiple shops and they seemnto not have any good deals. Cheapest I've seen is at sportsman and bass. I've been looking on ammoseek and I see great deals, but when you check out the shipping adds up to be the same getting it in person at a shop.

Where is your go too to get ammo in town?

Discount Gun Source on Ft Apache/Peace Way.
Check their website to see what they have in stock.

I go to sportsman’s warehouse. They have huge inventory now days. Before everyone starts bashing this about how high priced they are, here’s a lil info you might not know. They price match with some online sites that often run good deals and beat it by 1%👍.
Here’s their “ best price guarantee”

Sportsman's also has a pretty good military/first responder discount.

I asked Sportsman's to price match some hammock straps last year. They wouldn't match REI because they said they were on sale. Sportsman's were on sale too but were still ~35% more. The Sportsman's warehouse credit card is a mess too. I am still wait for the Explorewards from the hammocks. Made my monthly call yesterday and still no idea when they are going to fix it.

Unless I can get a screaming deal at a big box store, I like buying ammo at local dealers. I like buying a couple boxes at a time every other week or so, keeping it relatively affordable while scoring some face time with the owners/staff. I like supporting them as much as I can, and being a regular has scored me some smoking deals and little perks here and there.

CanoeClubUSA is in Henderson, you can buy and pickup , although they have odd pickup times, 6pm only.

I will 2nd Botach. Good to watch , get on their email list , to get notified when they have their 10-15% off coupons.

To be honest, I find it just easier to shop at places like Buds online, 268.99 / 1000 for blazer 9mm shipped ( plus tax but free shipping) , when local stores ( like NFA had it for 419.8 / 1000 :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

TargetSportsUSA has seen a good bit of my $$$ over the years also.

Oh (poop), sportsmans guide! Even if they only match the non-club price thats still awesome.

That being said, I still have some time left on my SG membership, and order ammo from them alot because of free shipping. Also if you wanna spread the cost of a few cases out, they let you break it into 4 payments and ship it right away. Nice to not have to drop like $1k all at once. Just sprinkle the $250 payments out over 4 months.

People still buy ammo in local brick and mortar? Ok ok, just kidding.... but in all seriousness, I've purchased ammo for great deals from online retailers that also have a local brick and mortar (somewhere). Oddly enough, I never see any of our local retailers doing this. It appears very minimal amount of our local retailers have an online presence (that I am aware of). I know Freedom has a separate online division and NFA is actually ramping up their online presence. If these guys can move more ammo, they can probably do better than 80-100% markup vs. what is online. But I understand if that is something they aren't interested in doing.

So, with that being said, it only makes sense that the big box stores like Cabela's/Bass Pro and Sportsman's WH have the flexibility to compete with online retailers.

Remember when we used to buy cheap ammo at Walmart? Those were the days.
