Before I go to the shop I thought I would ask if anyone here has one. I recently picked up a bolt gun and want to try some long range stuff.

It seems like I can get them for just under $1000 shipped new.

Thanks for stopping in

Just a heads up… every year for the last three years optics planet has put all the viper pst gen-2 scopes on sale for a deep discount. They do the sale for the 4th of July. I scooped mine for $699 shipped to my door last year.

I keep looking hard at that one. Is the EBR-2C reticle much worst than the EBR-7C?
This is my first bolt action. I picked up a Bergara B-14 HMR. I would like to learn fundamentals of precision shooting with it and maybe go on a hunt.

If you're interested, I have a Vortex Viper PST Gen II 3-15x44 FFP EBR-7C MRAD PST-3159. Very underrated scope, the glass will take in a lot more light than the 5-20x50 and I love the field of view.

The reality is that 99% of shooters cannot out shoot their equipment. I think either the 2C or 2D are excellent choices and the money savings when comparing against the 7C would be better spent on ammo, range time (if applicable), and or maybe a Kestrel or similar tool to get you going.
