For sale is a 1970 Remington 581 bolt action clip fed 22lr.
I inherited this one from my brother who passed away last year. Both him and I got one for Christmas in 1970. I'm going to keep mine and let his go. The older Remington 580 series (580,581 and 582) are considered to be very accurate guns. I shot it 6 months ago and it still hits the bullseye at 50 yards with just the steel sights.
At little more info for those who might be interested. 1967- 68 the stocks were made out of walnut. 1969 - 1971 the stock were made out of Honduras mahogany. The series finished out (1972-1999) with a cheap birch that was stained walnut. This one has the rarer mahogany stock.
