I agree but also calling “dibs” should mean I will take the gun in whatever condition it is in by looking at the info offered. Calling dibs w conditions isn’t really “dibs” either. That’s what the pm’s are for, to make sure you are getting exactly what u want before committing to buy it.
Not talking about you personally. I’ve just seen that before w items, and then see it available again after dibs were called.
Also, I personally think if you are going to go thru the trouble of listing an item for sale you need to be very attentive to your emails and messages AT LEAST the first day of the posting so you get questions answered timely and don’t leave ppl hanging..
Congrats to whomever gets it. The 645 was my very first pistol and sadly as a young one I sold it. If the buyer wants to make a $100 lmk and I’ll take it off your hands ?
I disagree about the dibs with conditions. Although not explicitly listed in the rules of this site, it is common practice on others. I should have doubled checked before posting, my apologies. The seller posted several pics of the 1911 but only one of the 645, which is why I followed up with a request for additional pics. I did intend to purchase it regardless of minor defects.
Your statement speaks to a concern not addressed in the rules. Are we obligated to purchase if the item if it’s not in good condition when we see it in person because we called “dibs?” I guess that’s the risk we assume when we reserve an item sight unseen.
In order to avoid any further discussion about a vague and trivial topic, I withdraw my “I’ll take it pending inspection” for whatever it’s worth at this point.
Congrats to the seller and whomever the buys the pistols.
