Someone just txted me and asked why my price is $200 more than online price.

First of all, before anyone make an offer or some said low-balling to a thread, please i beg you to calculate some factors in like transfer fee, tax, shipping fee and time factor.

Second, do you need it now badly? or do you mind waiting for days.. at least a week or two IF you were ordering online. Based on my experience in this kind of situation, it will probably take probably a week or two from the time you place the order til it arrives at your chosen FFL.

Third, you may visit several local gun stores which are open tomorrow, go stand in line and find out if they have it in stock or not?. See if you willing to spend time and gas shopping around?

Forth, does whatever you comparing come with whatever i'm providing?

Fifth, obviously you don't know some manners in trading. Don't just shoot me price or lowballing without calculating whatever i mentioned above. Do your homework first?

Sixth, you like it and buy it but if you don't please move along. This board isn't craigslist or backpage.

Been here in this forum long enough and it's been a while i encountered this situation. Lol

Have a nice night folks. Peace and be safe.

Well youre still trying to sell an XDS for $650. Time, driving, fee and the 2 week wait period (background) you refer to is still gonna happen with private sales right now as well so thats really not a good argument, you got us on the taxes though. If you have been on this forum long enough you’ll know that people are generally quite thrifty and some don’t understand the value of things. Nice gun, good luck on your sale.

No one is saying you can't ask whatever you want for your gun. But when you're asking $200 over retail, you should expect to get some lower offers. Also, transfer fee is irrelevant as you will be paying for the background check on a new gun just the same. You're also selling a used gun, not brand new. Tax is basically the only advantage you have, and that's not $200. Not trying to thread crap, but since you posted this, figured I'd give you my thoughts on it. I think a good number of people on this forum are also resistent to what they perceive to be gouging(especially when what you're selling is a very common item). Perhaps they should keep their mouths shut(perhaps I should too?), but reality is that will make people lowball you. It's just the nature of selling things - if you price it right, it will sell quick and easily. If you overprice it, expect to haggle and have it for sale a while.

Those are some really nice pictures. Think I should invest in a nice digital camera. Wish you the best on your sale.
Thank you. Actually i used my phone camera. These days cellphones cameras are good enough. And im still a noob in taking pictures.

Taking pictures is just like murder. It's not the tool that matters. It's the framing.

Love the XDS. I still carry my .45 quite often.
