Man that gun is CLEAN - especially the cylinder front and rear, and very faint turn line - can't have had more than a few boxes of ammo through it even though it's over 20 years old (being pre-lock).

I'm not the original owner so I can't confirm previous usage, but given the condition, I would agree with your observation. A very fine 629!
 
What a beautiful firearm, wish I wasn't liquidating to make up for some debt, anyone would be proud to own this one. Great cartridge too.
