Trust me I fully understand the stupidity of the law. The problem is that everyone is a badass rebel until someone commits a murder with the weapon that is registered in your name. When trace request occurs they are coming to knock on the registered owner's door. Then what? You could say you sold it prior to the 2020 law deadline but under a serious investigation texts/phones/emails would be searched and would prove otherwise. Boating accident? The only thing that would make sense to protect both sides would be selling it with Bill of Sale in a 2nd Amendment protected county like in Pahrump but I'm not sure if even that would be legal. If someone could chime in that would be great.
