For sale is a Springfield armory service grade Garand with a 3.3 million serial prefix. I have the original case, hangtag and paperwork in my name as I was the original buyer from the CMP. I am by no means an expert on Garand lot markings however, every single part I see is marked Springfield with the exception of this being in a CMP stock. There is no rust or pitting anywhere on the rifle, including underneath the wood line. This rifle does have a Springfield 1953 barrel so at one time it was replaced by the army or whichever armed forces had this before ending up at Anniston with the CMP, the bore is shiny with very pronounced lands in grooves, and no rust or pitting. It has as the original tag showing a T.E of 3 and an M.E of 2. This was part of the Greek returns, and I never in 1 million years thought I would be selling it but after being laid off from work my collection needs to be thinned. It has been stored in a climate controlled gun safe. If purchased with the rifle, I also have a sealed can of HXP ball which is 192 rds on enblocs pre loaded in bandoliers for $200. I preferred that the transfer happens at a gun store located near or off smoke Ranch and Torrey Pines. Please let me know if you need any additional photos as these were taken with an older iPhone.
I will also be including an early 50s grenade launcher attachment that was originally designed for a pineapple style frag grenades and and was designed to be used once. My adapter I would say is in 95-98% of original condition and is essentially new old stock with the markings, clearly legible and yellow paint for the date and year as well as the model. People love to use blanks and fire these off with tennis balls.
when the server change/format happened a few years back when there was a lul in my collecting I lost all of my feedback, but on GunBroker under my account, Vegaspike I have a 5 star +70 score
Asking $1100 for the rifle or $1300 with 1-192 rd sealed tin of HXP Garand specific M2 ball loaded on enbloc clips in bandoliers, I will not sell the ammo separate it is top of the line surplus in a sealed spam can, non corrosive and reloadable
