1974 F250 Ranger XLT Camper Special (8100lbs GVWR, heaviest rated F250 for the time). 2wd. 390FE. C6 auto. D60 rear end w. 3.73 gears. Drum rear disc front. Dual factory tanks with manual selector. Factory AC (non-op but all present). Truck was originally red but was painted white twice.

Runs and drives awesome. Owned it 3 years. For two of those years I was driving it 3 days a week. Cold blooded in the winter but probably just carb/choke adjustments, just needs to warm up . Will pull 65mph up the 395 with 3000lbs of soil in the bed.

The good:
-Good tires. 3 years old with maybe 5000 miles on them.
-Nice Mickey Thompson alloys.
-All new rear brakes all but one soft brake line replaced, née master cylinder proportioning valves and hard lines at the master.
-Nice interior. Newer seat, brand new carpet and headliner. All trim is present. New door seals.
- tracks straight runs awesome at 65-75mph.
-Body is remarkably straight. Hardly a ding in it. Cant find any rust except the surface rust in the bed floor.
-Sounds awesome.
- Big ole hitch, trailer brake, and all the trailer wiring.

The bad:
-Paint sucks. Been painted white twice (including full interior) but it’s chipping and flaking in areas.
-Horn doesn’t work.
-tape deck doesn’t work but that’s what exhaust is for.
-blinker doesn’t turn itself off.
-cold blooded. Can be a little tough to start in the cold. Once it’s running and warmed up it’s great tho. Starts easy all spring summer and fall.
-fuel gauge switch is temperamental and you gotta fiddle with it to get it to read out when you switch tanks.
-Dual battery system is non-op. One of the wires burned up long before I owned it so?
-few pinholes in the front of the bed floor. Otherwise the bed just has surface rust.
-paint sucks. I said it twice so you would read it.

Overall been a super fun and pretty damn reliable daily drivable truck. I'd drive it pretty much anywhere today. I’ve got some extra/original parts like the windshield trim cab trim etc. Also, it was originally sold at Friendly Ford in Vegas, it still has the dealer bumper :)

Message with questions. Price is $8000 OBO but don’t waste either of our time. Please talk to your wife before you talk to me about it.

Quick walk around video with the truck running:

Huuuge memory throwback for me, grand dad had this exact truck in blue. Spend many autumn days felling trees, cutting and loading firewood in that truck while squirrel hunting. Swear I smelled fresh sawdust and 22lr when I heard that engine running in your vid, thanks for that!

Sorry if I’m missing it but how many miles on her?
I dunno. Alot? I think the odometer is somewhere around 50k, and I have a feeling it was driven more than 1100 miles a year so like 150? 250? 350? 450? One million and 50?

Probabloy 150 though, because its not beat to hell and still runs smooth and strong.

Lol, my wife has a 69 Nova, and I also have a 69 Highboy. Both can be seen in the last pic. I'm just trying to downsize, I dont need 2 massive old trucks.

Well now you can get an F250 and do some real load haulin! It wont win any races, but then again, maybe if the race involves a couple-three thousand pounds in the bed lol

Negative , truck days are done. If I need to haul anything, I will borrow pops El Camino. With the springs/shocks/overrides, it will haul more than I will ever need to. Party in the front , semi-biz casual in the back :)

Wanna haul some gravel or a car and look cool while doing it!?

Then drive away today in this bad boy! It even has a CB radio so you can chit chat with all your buddies in your convoy!
