Are you opposed to an EV? The tesla model Y fits all of your list except cd player. I have put over 100k miles on ours and it is easily the lowest maintenance vehicle I have ever had. I commute from st george to las vegas for work. If EV is not for you, the honda pilot has a great reputation!
When I’m in the market for a car I like to go to Carmax and walk the lot - they have hundreds of cars in almost all makes and many models. Even if you don’t find exactly what you are looking for it’s a great place to see different brands side by side and get a close look.
If it fits your budget, I ended up liking my 2017 Honda CRV way more than I thought I would. The little turbo’d 1.5L is super peppy in the 2017 and up models, and at 6’ 260lbs I feel like I have plenty of room.
Direct injection is much different from port injection. Port injection keeps the intake valves clean.
Some of the newer vehicles use both port and direct injection.
Who wants to pay to have their valves cleaned every 30,000 miles?
I like the Mazda's. Had a CX 5 years ago, just got a CX 50 hybrid. Handling is extremely good, fun to drive in the twisty's. AWD, etc. Bit noisy on the road, and not a soft plush ride, since they are more performance oriented.
Of course, you can't go wrong with the Rav 4 or CRV, both top sellers and reliable.
I had a friend swore by Toyota 4 runners she had 2 of them and loved them and she put lots of miles on them on the east coast over 200k the truck out lasted her she passed and her grandson is still driving it
I also hear good things about older Lexus 350 and 450
I drive a 21 year old Suburban that I love but it’s not small or midsized
My sister is on her second Ford Edge - she just loves them. Put well over 100k on the first one before giving it to her son. He is still driving it for family stuff (soccer practice, baseball practice, etc, etc)
