Man I don’t need another H&R or another bolt action, but those are cool pieces at reasonable prices. GLWS!

Ladies and Gents, offers of a different than asking price dollar amount should be made in a PM to the seller, not in the ad.

Doing so in the ad tends to start auctions, and we don't allow auctions on this site.

Grumble.

First “I’ll take it” in the thread rules the day. If a buyer wants a lower price, that must be settled via DM before the public “I’ll take it”

Maybe it’s just me, but a DM about a package deal doesn’t keep the involved items in limbo if one is claimed at asking price in the thread.

Seller, your DMs and thread posts are all time-stamped. I know you’re new here, but please just use the time stamps to award the right item(s) to the right buyer.

Lot of people on here will PM/DM someone with an offer and then post I will take it per our messages. Know a few people on here who will look at PM’s and accept the lower offer in PM & then someone posts an I will take it.
Now it is up to the seller on who to sell to but one of the buyers is usually pissed off.

Been on here this time since 2016 and was a member before but left, just don't post much. And just to clarify a post saying "I'll take it, pending some additional pics" is NOT the same as an "I'll take it." That is a conditional offer to me not a guaranteed purchase. Sorry but an offer to buy multiples, which by the way was the first offer by time stamp, is more attractive. As I stated in my posts if something falls through with the first offer I will go in order of the time stamped offers.

Fair enough. There have been some slimeballs recently that didn’t care to build a relationship to the forum and came on the Trading Post w callous disregard for the way we run things. My reply might have been knee-jerk to that phenomenon.
Glad you’ve been around for a while, thanks for explaining your thinking, and GLWS!
