Radar detectors in NV specifically Las Vegas

FYI, for some areas, LV area for example, the feature in WAZE is helpful.

crowd source reporting of police activity to allow motorists to safely Navigate through an area. It’s only as good as the reports. But they’re mostly accurate. Also has reporting for crash, lane obstruction, construction, traffic flow issues and routing.

the west side of 215 from far hills to town center is a major revenue generation area. focused enforcement 2-3 days every month or two…. Upto 10 bikes. Normal situation…

2 or 3 shooters On bridge. 5-8 catchers. Moving from one ramp to the next over the course of an hour.

working from home has its benefits These days.
Been using Waze for awhile. Definitely helps and I contribute as well. I appreciate the reports so I try and do the same even if it’s reporting NHP in Hiko where most people don’t utilize it.

I’m case anyone gets a speeding ticket. You can’t even plead in person anymore. The state has consistently pressured me to waive my rights to a trial before a judge and keeps insisting I do a online trial without even being able to see the judge or officer. Or alternatively, pay the fine of $300. F**k traffic cops. And the state gov for that matter.

You are saying "the state". Where is this occurring? I don't know any state prosecutions for speeding, but I am sure there is a super rare chance they would occur in the capitol.

WAZE APP helps as well.. It's interactive w other drivers.

Driving back to ComiFornia from Reno, I had a vehicle whose driver's time was more important than our's tailgating me.

WASE was going crazy squawking Police ahead, Police ahead, Police ahead.
I politely signaled and moved over and let them speed by, getting the middle finger from the driver.

At the next exit were 2 CHP units with LIDAR.

A couple of exits down the road was the impatient driver stopped by the CHP.

That kind of makes it sound like you were blocking him from passing UNTIL you saw the speed trap warning.

Sorry No. I drive like NASCAR! I go the PHUCK Around! He fought the Law and the LAW WON! Just like the Song!

I mean. If you drive like NASCAR and he was “tailgaiting” you, it would seem like either he was drafting or had the faster car trying to get around you. So you were just blocking…..????

Yes a Truck Drafting a Subaru WRX STI with an Eibach setup? LMFAO!
For your viewing pleasure:

So…. You drive like you are in nascar in a STi but a truck was tailgating you?

Story doesn’t add up. Part of it is a lie. Either you don’t drive like you are in nascar or he wasn’t tailgating.

You obviously have not driven on I80 in the Sierra’s. When I approach slower cars I go the Phuck around. The Ruts made by 18 wheelers chains tears up the slow lane as I80 is two lanes. The intimidation game don’t work with me. Bottom line was the speeding/tail gating a hole got what he deserved. LOL.

Says the left lane camper…

I like to tailgate those who refuse to abide by the “move over” “get the (f**k) out of the fast lane” law. Yes, there is a law in Nevada that says if you are being overtaken in the left lane, you must move over. Sadly it doesn’t get ticketed and most don’t know about it. Even if the person is speeding, you must yield right of way.

Even if the right lane is crappy, you are supposed to move over.

Which NRS are you citing?

Thank you. NRS484b.208

We had an argument over this and I couldn't find it. It doesn't apply in any town/city and is for open road. I will pass it along to others.

ETA- there is a speed caveat.

NRS 484B.208  Duty of driver to move out of left lane when traveling at a certain rate of speed: When required; exceptions.

1.  Except as otherwise provided in subsection 2, on a controlled-access highway which has two or more clearly marked lanes for traveling in the same direction, a driver may not continue to operate a motor vehicle in the extreme left lane if the driver knows, or reasonably should know, that he or she is traveling at a rate of speed which is less than the posted speed limit for that portion of the controlled-access highway and is being overtaken in that lane from the rear by a motor vehicle traveling at a higher rate of speed.

2.  The requirements of subsection 1 do not apply:

(a) To a driver operating a motor vehicle that is:

(1) Overtaking another vehicle proceeding in the same direction;

(2) Preparing for a left turn at an intersection;

(3) Traveling in a lane designated for the use of high-occupancy vehicles pursuant to NRS 484A.460, if the driver complies with the requirements to travel in such a lane; or

(4) Engaged in the construction, maintenance or repair of the highway, including, without limitation, the removal of snow.

(b) When traffic conditions, inclement weather, obstructions or hazards make it necessary to drive in the extreme left lane.

(c) When compliance with an official traffic control device or the directions given by a peace officer makes it necessary to drive in the extreme left lane.

(d) To the driver of an authorized emergency vehicle in the course of his or her official duties.

(e) To a driver operating a motor vehicle within the geographical limits of a city or town.
