Got a new job and figured I’m finally making HK money and I might as well buy some real HKs. Except you’re never comfortably making HK money… so I’m thinning the herd of some of my absolute favorites to make some near future stupid purchases go down easier.
1. PTR-91 K3p
The closest thing you used to be able to get to a factory G3k clone, until PTR discontinued it. Because production was recently stopped they seem to have become quite hard to find and gone up in value. It’s a 12.5” barrel G3 most similar to the G3k famously used by British Special Operations and Royal Marines, packing a lot of power into a handy and fairly short carbine. It comes as a pistol with an SBA-3 brace and 6 HK mags. I got it on here just about a month ago when I traded for it + cash when I desperately needed money, and while I’d like to keep it and find it to have a practical use (as compared to the shorter 8” G3 PDW clones), I won’t need multiple short .308 battle rifles and plan to get another. $1400.
2. PTR-9CT with SB HKPDW brace, HK wide handguard, Franklin Armory binary trigger in SEF housing
The most reliable and fun gun I’ve ever owned, simply nothing like shooting a 9mm roller delayed blowback. Approximately 1k rounds through it, will also come with 6 metal KCI mags (never had a single feeding issue or failure of any type) in the PTR hard case. When I got it and before I fired it I put in some German HK made internal parts including an extractor and mag catch just to make sure it was 100% reliable. $2100 for the package, open to discounting and keeping the binary trigger.
3. Ruger Mk. IV 22/45
Awesome little gun but I honestly prefer the regular all metal Mk. IVs. Would be interested in trading for one. This one has seen maybe 100 rounds and worked great, huge upgrade from taking forever to clean my old Mk. II. This is the Davidson’s Exclusive model as evidenced by the grips. $400.
Not interested in any trades (outside of the 22/45 for a regular Mk. IV) besides possibly for PWS Mod 2 rifles or uppers or retro ARs (would love an AR-180 lol).
