VINTAGE ZEISS IKON MOVISCOP 16MM MOVIE EDITOR VIEWER. Made in Germany.
Patent date applied for 1947, granted 1951. Not tested. No power cord (can be adapted for modern computer socket/cord). No visible damage, fuse is intact.
MAIER HANCOCK PORTABLE HOT SPLICER Model 816
Marketed in 1965-66
standard 8 mm \ super 8 mm \ 16 mm film
cement splicer
metallic chassis
115-125 V, 50/60 Cycles, 15 Watts
Made in Usa by Maier-Hancock Industries
The splice has an electrical heating unit which dries the film cement quickly. The Maier-Hancock cement splicer creates a better and longer lasting splice than a tape splicer. Bell & Howell were the inventor of these hot splicers, but they sold this division.
Marked with ID label from “J and R Film Co Hollywood”. J and R/Moviola invented the first film editing machine in 1919, and opened it’s doors in Hollywood in 1923.
Great conversation pieces for a movie buff, film student, historian, or tinkerer who wants to put them to work.
NV Shooters price is $100 $65
Will consider ammo trades as usual.
Listing is for both pieces.
