Looking for a decent spotting scope for long distance target shooting. 300-700 yards. Please on what you have looking for good price please.

Really like the vortex Dimondback HD 16-45 x 65

Thank you

Would like the attachement to hold a iPhone also.

What are YOU calling "decent"? Are you wanting to resolve bullet holes at 300 yds? What's your budget? That's the most important thing in optics.

Yes 300-500 yards budget is up in the air. Could afford a higher in unit. Would really like a vortex Diamondback 20-60x85 I would think that would be plenty for distance shooting.

Vortex is good glass, the Viper HD 15-45 I had was HEAVY. Good for range, bad for hunting if thats in your future just an FYI. Also the last 10x magnification was almost worthless. Nicest package I've looked through IMHO is the Leupold Golden Ring 12-40x60 but its 3x the price of the Vortex.
