Looking for a 1911 front sight I do not know much about how these sights get installed but if anyone has an extra I would be willing to buy off you,it is A colt mk 4 series 70s if that helps

The sight is very affordable, usually under $20 on Brownells or Harrison Design. There are two widths, .175 or .195, from the picture, you appear to have the narrower .175 and you need a staking tool, a small curved file, a little emery cloth and some cold bluing solution to do it right.

I have moved twice since I did the last one, but I have one here somewhere... if I find it, you are welcome to borrow it... I just haven't done much custom work lately.

Call a small local shop like The Gun Butler. Most of the time, they probably have these types of sights in stock, ready to quickly and properly install on your pistol.
