How about $3,200 for this Beautiful NightHawk. It would cost about $3600 to $3800 today, plus it was built a long time ago. They don't do the Damascus hammer any more and that was a $300 upgrade.

A little history about this pistol and NightHawk. NightHawk was started by a group of guys that worked for Wilson Combat. They felt they were getting the short end of their work quality vs. pay.

So they started NightHawk and one of the main players was Ron Phillips. Ron was Wilson's top custom gunsmith. So that says a lot about NightHawk pistols.

This pistol I have for sale is one of the first customs to come of the their shop, so it has some real quality work, not the production pistols being built by them now. Ron Phillips is no longer part of NH he and his son have their own company. Anyone serious to have a top shelf 1911 this fills that want and need.

I have had just about every custom 1911 made by most of the top 1911 smith's. You name them and I have had one from them. This pistol compares to a lot of 1911 at twice the price and the trigger by itself is worth some of the price let alone the Damascus hammer.

I don't really need to sell the pistol just thought that this would give the opportunity to someone who would want a top end 1911 that is hard to replace. Granted it is a lot of money but worth every penny when moving into a 1911 of this caliber.

Just thought I would put this out for the person looking for a great pistol to have and shoot as well as having one to last a lifetime.

Good luck to someone who takes the opportunity to grab this pistol at a great deal.

Thanks, Steve

NV1911NUT, had a Wilson exactly like yours. Those grips do the job. I sold mine for $3200.
Sadly my gun habit makes my wife purse and shoe habit look like chump change. The Wilson is my first higher end gun, then Les Baer, Ed brown, Guncrafter and Nighthawk. Just traded away a Nighthawk and a Colt Custom Shop Gun for rifles, evening out the numbers.... If I get rid of the M1A with EBR I have, I will come back and buy the Nighthawk.

NV1911, I hear you. I have had many custom 1911's over the years. I had a Ed Brown that I sold, solid gun. Still keeping my Les Baer its a real tac driver. I am moving a few things to pay off my crazy shotgun habit.

I have the Guncrafter Front Sight edition, acquired from FS through a $20 raffle ticket. When I went to FS to pick it up, I asked what made it worth $3k.

The reply was "Well, it's a Guncrafter!" That didn't really answer my question.

Sorry, but $3k can buy an awful lot of ammo to feed my $450 Rock Island. :)

OP, good luck with the sale.

Where are the 1911 lover's at.
This pistol say please take me home and you can take me to the range and have a lot of fun, plus you will have a nice custom 45 ACP for a great price. Not only that I can get the owner to throw in 2 boxes of ammo, that's at least a good $50 plus. what do you say.
