Does it gotta be stainless and 357?

This model 15 K38 Masterpiece was at Willey Bros a few weeks back. Prolly still there.

I appreciate the info on that revolver, thank you for the heads up! I am looking exclusively for the stainless, and in .357 though.
No worries.

A 2.5” or 3” 66 is about the only thing I would ever trade my 3” 65 for. But a 3” 66 is rare as hens teeth. The 2.5 are easier to find for sure.

Good luck on your search.

From what I’m seeing in prices and availability, I may have missed my opportunity for a 66 several years ago.

They presently make them with a 3” barrel. It’s the 2 piece barrel and has a lock but still. I don’t have any issues with modern smiths really, but I know a lot of people do.

There’s a gorgeous nickel plated 19 at willey brothers right now….pretty close to a 66 View attachment 105732
Thank you for the heads up on this model 19, beautiful revolver! I have no experience with Willey Bros in Reno, are they a pretty good place to do business with? I’ll need to do my homework now on pricing for this revolver.... $900 seems steep to me, but maybe that’s the going rate these days. My last revolver purchase was a new 629 Classic in 1994, so it’s been a while... thanks again!

Willey bros is good people. I work for their family in a different business. I’ve bought a few guns there,
I’ve had them ship a gun too.

most recent ones on GB that sold were
$1355 (original grips box and paper)
$770 (no box and not original grips)
$965 (early pinned and recessed)
$1225 (box paperwork original grips and aftermarket grips)
$975
$807

So the price doesn’t seem far off. In my experience they tend to be very reasonable on prices because they deal in a ton of used guns.

Happy to help. By all means do your own research too and don’t just go by what I’ve said.

I do know when they price used things they just go by blue book value so it may not be some amazing deal but it’s always pretty fair.
