Heads up if you are headed out to get a gun today. Hopefully they are back open tomorrow. Just one more reason to have a CCW.

If not sounds like a range day!!!

We will update this post in the AM.

The checks are called in to DPS in Carson City. There was snow here today in the Reno-Carson area. Many people left work early.

It's an infringement on our 2nd Amendment rights. Those lines should be open 24/7 - and shouldn't cost anything. (I mean, we don't pay to excercise our right to vote, so why do we pay the government to exercise our right to bear arms?)

It shouldn't require a live operator. But Union forbid we eliminate a job.

The program we use for A&D / 4473"s actually has a component to run a NICS check electronically. Only one problem....we cannot get an account with the FBI as we live in a POC state with different regulations.

There was a rumor about a year ago about the state of Nevada setting up an electronic system similar to NICS that dealers would be able to use, but that was just a rumor.... at least so far....
