It shines more than the last time I saw it. Lookin good! ??

Next pic should be you and Steve doing burnouts side by side!

Very cool Bob!

Paint the interior of the bed green so it will look like your favorite dinosaur

Really cool Bob. I had a '65 I invested a lot of time in too. I'd still have it if some fool hadn't pulled an illegal turn in front of me. I center punched him and totally destroyed my '65. That was thirty years ago and I'm still PO'd over it. One of the best vehicles ever made!

Ouch! That really sucks.

I've owned this since 1978.

After I won the nationals in '91, I got hit 5 times. I was so frustrated, I finally parked it in '97. It sat marinating in the desert sun until a couple years ago. A complete resto was needed by then.

If we are showing our El Caminos here are two more. My brother's yellow 70 SS396, numbers matching. My orange 72 small block 4 speed SS, numbers matching. That is a beautiful car you have there Tophog..

Sweet! You still have them?

Mine came originally with a four speed and 10 bolt. I swapped in a T-5 and 12 bolt posi, so #s matching is irrelevant. And Elkies didn't come in SS configurations until 1968.

I wish I had the original build sheet.

BTW, I spent about an hour on the Midway in 1978. Landed by helo, and left on a C-2.

I never plan on selling it. We get a lot of looks driving the 2 cars down the Hwy... I left Midway in 71..

That's funny - I bought mine in '79. Pulled the 283 and tossed in a mildly built 327. If I could have repaired it I would have but it was just too tweaked. Even the dash was bent into a U, and the frame and body were just too far gone. Only one of countless vehicles over the years I really miss.
