Yes, if you make any post it will move your listing to the top. Many users will just post something like "bump" or "TTT" (to the top) to bump their own thread.

He means post a comment, not post a new thread. If you want your ad to appear at the top of the list, simply come to this thread, and make a comment. Then it will move to the top.

If you are lowering your prices, most folks will just edit the original comment in the for sale thread, with the new prices.
