A very nice M1 Garand mfg. by International Harvester Corp. Serial no. dates this rifle to 1954 with original barrel by LMR. LMR barrels were considered one of the best used during that period. The bore is strong, showing slight wear and not bright shinny like a new barrel. Many of the parts are IHC. The stock is not IHC but collectors tell me it's a post war Springfield Armory stock and has a tight lock-up so nothing loose here. This one has been sitting in my safe for a long time and never shot. I always recommend a gunsmith check before firing any C&R weapon.
