I've got a Remlin 336Y that I swapped the stock lever for a factory big lever. Now I have an issue. If I put more than 2 rounds in the tube, it seems like the mag stop doesn't work and the rounds bunch up trying to exit the tube and lock up the lever/elevator function. I have to remove the lever screw, pull the bolt out and work the rounds out of the receiver.

I'm guessing this is something to do with the replacement lever...might need some "gun smithing" somewhere. Is this something you work on?

Yes sir, those most times have to be fit. I can help you out with that for sure. Bring it by and I can look at it and give you an idea of time and price. I worked at Wild West Guns for 2 years, I have fit a lot of levers.

Just came across this thread tonight. I have a Glock 22 slide that was obliterated by the guys at Robar. Can you strip and cerakote a slide that had NP3 coating previously? I even have the cerakote, just never can seem to find the time to do it myself.

Yeah, I can do that. You have the Cerakote? Is it H series Cerakote? Either way I can do it.

AAR: Took my 336Y to Ronnie to fit a Marlin big loop lever that was giving me fits...he was able to get it running smooth as butter, well within in the timeframe quoted, and for a very reasonable price. Thanks Ronnie! Next time I need some stuff done, I'll bring it over. :)

I can, I have heard some of those are really hard to lift to engage the firing pin. I haven’t done one on this rifle, but do know the process. I’ve seen people upgrade the bolt handle as well. Easy on the savages, I think that just gives you more leverage not actually making the cocking lighter. If you’d like to bring it by I can take a look and see what it would take.

H-199. I'll try to drop by the shop this week so you can take a look at the slide.
