LML regen issues

Ok, I posted on diesel forums with no answer, so I’ll try here..in short, I’m having issues with my regen. In a nutshell, it seems to be confused. I have a CTS2 monitor, so I can watch the soot and EGT’s. Usually under 40 grams, EGT’s are around 500 ish degrees, then during regen they go to 1000, or so. Now the monitor says 10 grams, and EGT’s are at 1000, then randomly, soot goes to 50 grams and EGT’s drop to 500. Regen light will come on for a minute or so, but thats it. No CEL, no codes, nothing. Also idle is at 800, which it does during regen. Should I try to do a forced regen, before anything else ?

Yes do the forced regen and let it complete. After that it starts costing $$$$ forced regen will not hurt anything.
