LATEST Trading Post Rules - READ THIS BEFORE PARTICIPATING in Trading Post!

I have a question about a perceived inconsistency between this thread and the Terms and Rules.

The first post in this thread states (in part) “Questions, comments, or offers of trades should be made via a PM sent to the ad OP, not posted in the ad as a reply.” & “The only things folks should be posting as replies to someone else's ad are "I'll Take it" or "I'll take it Pending inspection" or "2nds if the deal falls through" or "3rds if the deal falls through". Nothing else, including "PM sent".” (emphasis added)

Terms & Rules > Trading Post section > 1st paragraph states “Please do not post on any members thread unless you have a question or it is directly related to the item for sale of purchase.” (emphasis added)

Which is correct? I only ask because a few weeks ago a question I posted in a trading post WTS ad was removed.. the question was “price?” because the OP had not listed one and per the TP rules, a price is required.

So which is correct? This thread or the Terms & Rules? I am totally fine with either.. just genuinely curious.
