I no longer use it, as I upgraded to a Yeasu FT 8900R quad bander. The Kenwood has been in use in my home for the last 7 or so years, works flawlessly, and you can test it here before you buy. Radio is a dual band 2 meter 440 rig (display is only one band at a time) and has 3 power levels, (50/10/5W) watts on 2 meters and 35 (35/10/5W) watts on 440 MHz Located in Pahrump.

Non-simultaneous cross-band repeater access is supported. Want to pick up another rig so this one has to go! $250.00 Not looking for trades

Bumping it up for a nice radio. Hate to see it go to waste and I have so many extra rigs now its insane.. so grab it while you can

I can attest to the fact that this rig works very well, for the last 7 years I have spoken to Geo at least once a week, via the local repeaters when he was using this radio , audio is crisp and clean.
Good luck with the sale Geo, and welcome to the Yaesu side of the force!

FYI Geo, I found out what that non simultaneous cross band repeater access function is, it means the radio, while only having a single display will monitor two frequencies in either v/v, u/u, or v/u combination, simultaneously when in memory scan mode. Now days its called dual band receive, only works in memory scan mod on this radio, handy function to have.

Nice, yeah I never used that function on this radio because i had the Yeasus that make it so easy.

Bump for Geo.
Someone needs this radio, it's a good one.

Another bump for Geo, what, no HAMS in this joint?

Hey Geo,

Im interested but I have a baby boy (#2) set to be born in less than a week and I've been in full save mode for several months. Recent licensed HAM under @NYECOGunsmith s tutelage. Please let me know if you reconsider on trades or offers. Thanks!

Depends on what you have to trade :) I dont really need ammo (I know, amazing lol) so its kind of hard to come up with something that will match the value of the radio.
