For sale is an Italian Vetterli M1870/87/15 bolt action rifle. Not sure of the exact year. Found this rifle while I was cleaning out my parent's house in NJ so I figured I'd put this up for sale and give the proceeds to my pops.

I believe this is chambered in 6.5X52mm Carcano (Let me know if that is not the case as I'm not too familiar with this particular rifle) and updated with 6 round magazine.

Originally these rifles were chambered as a single shot black powder, then 10.4X47R mm 4 round mag, and finally chambered for the Carcano cartridge.

Receiver stamped Torina. There is a crack in the stock as pictured and the rifle needs some TLC and is in rough shape. Bore is frosted and dark. Would highly recommend having a gunsmith look this over.

Please excuse my ignorance with this particular firearm and welcome any information from any of the members here.

Not many of these on GB to try and put a value on it so I'll put a price of $250.00

Selling this "AS IS" and non functioning as I haven't fired a round out of this rifle.

These are cool it should be chambered for 6.5x52 carcano and these were rechambered with a silver soldered sleeve back when converted so these are best if you roll your own type of ammo if you plan to shoot

What about it makes it non functioning?
Nothing. I'm selling this with the expectation that it's not functioning being that it hasn't been tested or fired and has been sitting in my father's closet for years.
