it is FMJ. Years ago, armscor used a plated projectile when they could not keep up with demand. that was quite some time ago, and only for a brief period of time. They use ONLY FMJ projectiles and are loaded in Montana. I just ran almost 1k rnds thru my kimber at a 4day HG class.....not one frag hole from jacketing material. Top Notch ammo.
