Are there any open repeaters in Amargosa Valley or Beatty?

Amargosa is a yes, Beatty I don't know, but don't think so. Soon as I get back into the house will post the Amargosa info, it's new and I haven't memorized its numbers yet.

There are a couple of repeaters in Amargosa, the new one above is GMRS, did you also want ham repeaters? There are a couple of ham repeaters in Beatty.

Amargosa GMRS repeater is at 462.725 (+) PL 123
VHF repeater in Amargosa is at 146.760 (-) PL 123

The Pahrump GMRS repeater at 462.650 (+) PL 100 also covers Amargosa Valley, and part way up to Beatty.

Beatty VHF repeater (mine, down at the moment) is 145.430 (-) PL 100
Beatty UHF repeater, belongs to Tri State Repeater Association, a closed repeater unless used for emergency traffic, is located at 449.2250 (-) PL 141.3

Thank you Sir!! I'm just looking at GMRS right now until I get my HAM license.

The Amargosa GMRS repeater works well. I could hit it from the Beatty Airport with my Midland MXT575. I don't know how strong, as no one answered up for a radio check. I could also hit the Pahrump repeater from Stateline and I could sneak through the mountain in a couple of places along Hwy373.

I checked the Amargosa Repeater this weekend, and it seems to be down? Does anyone know who owns/manages this repeater?

I know who owns and manages it, will give them a call and see what's up.
OK, I tried it, no response, got ahold of an Amargosaoid, he tried it, no go, so I guess it's down. Will let the owner know, he's out of town at the moment.
Edit"
Tried another Amargosaoid I know who lives closer to the repeater, he was able to work it, I can hear him although I can't hit it for him to hear me, so it is up.
Not unusual, as the atmosphere plays tricks with UHF this time of year, and I am running a vertical, if I had a Yagi pointed at it, would be able to work it solidly anytime.

It's at 462.725 (+) PL 123, so it transmits on 462.725, you have to transmit on 467.725 with that PL of 123 for it to hear you.

Thank you Sir!! This relatively new "Amargosaoid" appreciates your efforts!

FYI for all you GMRS operators out there, the Angel Peak Repeater is awesome. I have contact from the Jones and Cheyenne area of Las Vegas to just north of Mercury along Hwy 95.
