Former Nevada Shooters Forum owner and founding member George "GEO" Cox passed away due to a massive heart attack he suffered at home, at approximately 0015 hours today, Saturday, 13 April 2024.

He will be missed.
RIP Geo.

Very shocked and saddened by this news. What a tremendous loss!
Rest in peace @geo!

I heard early this morning. This news was taken hard. Geo was a one of my first friends when I moved to Vegas in 2007. To say his influence was impactful was an understatement. From firearms to prepping to amateur radio, he was a wealth of knowledge and great to talk to. He was very involved here on NS in the early days and helped me see Pahrump as a paradise away from Vegas.

I mourn this news and my prayers go out to his wife Patricia.

3 to 6 PM, AKA 1500 to 1800 hours, not 5PM as stated in TitanNV s post.

I had never met him, but have heard nothing but great stories about him. Any idea his age? Unfortunately we all have an expiry date. My condolences to his surviving family and friends.
Ok I just saw that he was born 1965....a youngster.

He would have been 59 in October.

He sold the forum, got busy with his Iridium242 YouTube channel, he was making 2-3 videos a day of the gadgets, devices, widgets, radios, etc. that companies were sending him to test (and he got to keep them afterwards) for his YouTube prepper channel. Covid hit and he stayed home, got into a bunch of new indoor hobbies instead of going shooting, etc.
