..."Federal law does not require a homemade gun to have an identifying marker (such as a serial number), as long as it remains in the possession of the original maker. The ATF suggests that all homemade firearms be marked with a serial number as a safeguard in the event the firearm is lost or stolen, but requires it if the gun is otherwise lawfully transferred in the future."...
Please cite from where you get your info. I believe I found this quote from here: https://www.criminaldefenselawyer.c...ll-or-give-my-homemade-gun-another-person.htm

It is incorrect. The ATF actually says: "Firearms may be lawfully made by persons who do not hold a manufacturer’s license under the GCA provided they are not for sale or distribution." From the bottom of Page 7 here: https://www.atf.gov/resource-center/docs/0813-firearms-top-12-qaspdf/download

You can not make it for the purpose of transferring it. There is no restriction on later doing so, same as other firearms that were legally acquired instead of personally made. THIS IS NO DIFFERENT than making it with a serial number. If the purpose was to transfer it, you are a manufacturer and need a license, and all markings a manufacturer is required to do.

So I can legally sell my completed 80% lower on here and not face any repercussions? I built it for me but decided I’ll never shoot it and don’t want it anymore.
