The alloy-framed Hi Powers are fairly rare in the states, apparently only made for Belgian and Australian police/military contracts.
I've owned this one for years and had it tuned by MK3 Firearms in North Las Vegas with the following:
MK3's work is top notch and totaled over $1500 (have the invoice). The gun already balanced great in the hand with the allow frame but is a lot more friendly to shoot with the better trigger and usable sights.
Looking for $1800 cash in Henderson.
SOLD.
Would consider partial trades: Beretta 92-series guns, Glock 34MOS, Sig P220 in .45, Ruger or Smith revolvers, or a quality .357 lever action. Perhaps factory brass ammo 9/45/38/357/556.
Thanks for looking.
ETA: finish at the bottom of the slide is not damaged in the last photo, that's just the light reflecting.
I've owned this one for years and had it tuned by MK3 Firearms in North Las Vegas with the following:
- Re-crown barrel and blend to the slide
- Tighten slide to frame fit
- Two stage trigger job (averages right around 4 lb on my Lyman, minimal first stage and no overtravel along with a short and positive reset)
- Removal of the magazine disconnect
- Replacement of the single-sided safety with the factory ambi FN safety
- Installation of a Cylinder & Slide ring hammer and sear
- Machining of the slide for sights (standard front dovetail and rear sight to sit flush with the top of the slide).
- Installation of MK3's sight setup (Trijicon HD front sight, blacked out rear Heinie sight). They machine the rear sight so the hammer falls "inside" of it.
- Refinishing of the gun to resemble the factory finish (satin black slide and controls; matte black frame)
- Replacement of the factory grips with LOK grips.
