Well found out that the State of Nevada allows 1 incomplete monitor for year 2000 to current. I followed the drive cycle instructions got it down to 1 incomplete pulled into the smog check station. Bam check engine light came back . P2610. Dam that close. Again asking if anyone has the ability to flash/ reprogram a ECU .
Coming from you I'll take that advice. Also since I am going to have to replace it. What do you think about jumping pins 4 & 13 on the obd plug. I have seen some videos that could reset the ECU. Or do you think it would just cause more issues.
Multiple sources say just jump the battery cables for about 30 mins to reset it. Jumping the OBD plug looks like it will flash “hidden” diag codes for the ABS. Once I have access to my scanner in a few days I might be able to help ya figure it out. Recently moved and am stuck waiting on delivery of all my tools n such.
Well thank you. No hurry . It's my back up truck. And it's been over a year since I got the code. It might have been that when I moved to Vegas. The truck sat for almost a year and I didn't start or drive it. It need all kinds of work to pass smog. I have fixed all the other issues. .
