I know these come with every new gun - but mine was misplaced several moves ago. And the aftermarket rail I have is WAY too tall for use with my sights. Does anyone have a stock 10/22 rail they are not using? Thanks in advance!

You'll probably be a lot happier with a Picatinny rail. You can get nice $30 from the normal gun supply places, or really cheap <$10 ones from Amazon. Even the latter would be better than a 3/8 dovetail. Some of them are quite thin and have the sightline groove down the middle.

You are absolutely right, Mac- but the pic rail I have on the receiver right now is too high for the Williams rear sight / extended AR15 front sight I have set up right now. I finally have the barrel, trigger, magazine and stock combo all set up just the way I want it for this Fall's rimfire league - the sights are the last piece of the puzzle. I could just go to a higher globe front sight, of course - but military peep sights are what I've shot with for 35 years, and I don't want to change just yet.

That Williams peep sight is great, and a peep sight is the only way to go. In fact, this is what I'm running on my 10/22 speed gun: https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1005988016?pid=259159

I just went through my shed. I know I have one or two of those factory dovetails, too, but I can't find one.

That Ace in the Hole set is nice. For precision competition I needed something I could be more exact with my adjustments on.

Oooh, definitely! That's the exact sight I have on a sporterized US 1898 Krag carbine.

I plan to have a team at the Rimfire league this fall. I'm hoping to use my single-shot bolt-action 22 with Globe-type sights if I have the time to do it. I'm not very familiar with the course of fire yet.

You need to maintain the ability to scope this rifle?

Need to? No. But it would be nice to be able to scope it for the Know Your Limits matches, as well. Come over and say hi if you're there - we're Team "Shut Up We're Trying", and this will be our third season shooting together.
