This pistol is top of the quality spectrum and equivalent to any Les Baer, Wilson Combat, and Ed Brown masterpieces. Even better it is one of a kind so no one else will have one just like it. Built in 1996 by a former master gunsmith for Detonics and Competitive Shooter Tim Baccus its price was $1899 new. I have owned it since brand new and have fired less than 1000rds. in it. There is a bit of holster wear as I concealed carried it for the first year it was owned. Black and Grey T finish this pistol is only meant for serious operators. Built with all the finest parts to perfection! The Heinie night sites are a bit dim now but this pistol will operate and work as well as any top line .45 ever made. Hand fitting of all parts by master gunsmith gives you the finest fit and finish money could buy. Letting it go for bargain price of $1500. Anything truly comparable will cost you 2.5-3k today. As it is unique and one of a kind and considering Mr. Baccus great sense of humor the serial # is Premiere 2 as a friendly dig at those other master gunsmiths who may think they had a better product. I think otherwise as Baccus has every bit as much skill or more and probably better fitted than the popular mass produced top line 1911s that you will pay twice as much for.
There are two guns I would consider trading even across for this jewel. A lightly used HK MK 23 Socom Pistol (I have a place where I must shoot quietly) or an Arsenal SAM 7 Classic (original factory wood stock model) NIB Socom was $1500 in 1996-97 when I purchased this masterpiece for $1899, The Arsenal had not even been born yet but in 2005 they were $1100 brand new. The Les Baer and Ed Brown (mass produced in small numbers kind of) were slightly less $ than my pistol. We had them in stock when Mr. Baccus created this masterpiece, I’ve shot them all and this pistol is as good or even better! No other trade guns but the two listed above please. Thanks for your consideration.
