Want to Buy: Continental Weapons "Griffon" 1911.
This was a budget 1911 import from South Africa in the late 1990s. It is "commander"-sized (e.g. 4.25" barrel) and has some oddball features like a ported slide but not a ported barrel. Had the look/features of a higher-end gun, but had a pretty rough quality machining job and finish.
Owned one a long time ago as a youthful beater, and traded it away when I sort of lost interest in 1911s. Would like to find one again locally, willing to pay a fair market price or trade. Condition not important, as I'm planning on using it as a project that includes refinishing.
