Have you considered an Astra Cadix? Here is a link to an article about them.

They come up on Gunbroker from time to time. Many are C&R and if coming from out of state, can be delivered to the door of an 03 FFL. This .22 recently sold on Gunbroker.

I have an Astra Cadix in .38 Special, and it impresses me as a well made gun.

I recently saw one on gunbroker and it's a good alternative. I was looking more at the Rossi figuring since it is newer parts may be easier to come by. I had an Astra 80 which was very reliable. Many of the Spanish guns (Star, Llama, Astra) are underrated.
So if anyone is willing to part with a 4" 22 Astra Cadix, pm me.
