My brother has been shooting my LRR rifles for far too long now. I’d like to get one for him as a bday gift, he doesn’t have much $$ since being laid off and taking a lesser paying job. Figured I’d check here first. Budget is $600 and under. May go $700 for the right rifle.

On the retail side the Savage 110 Tactical in 6.5 Creedmoor is right about $600. SKU-57232
24" bbl
Threaded
Comes with EGW optics rail

Thanks, I haven’t owned much budget 6.5s and all the reviews seem biased. If I go to the store, I was looking at the axis 2, Ruger American predator, tc compass.

Predator is best bang for the buck for entry level 6.5. Usually around $425 new $300/$350 used.
Savage 6.5 10 BA is also a good rifle with great trigger, but a little bit more tho.

Own a mossberg patriot Predator in 6.5 and it’s my first bolt gun after putting some decent money into a scope I’m getting 400+yards easy with decent grouping and wouldn’t doubt with some more practice could get that thing to 7-800yrds
