If you end up with a parts kit, I have an AK builder in town that does independent builds (AK building is his side hustle). His prices are better than any shop and his quality is as good if not better. He’s currently building a Romy underfolder and 1986 Tula Krink of mine. I can show you my 1969 Izhmash AKM he built me a few years back too. Quality stuff without the 10+ month wait of shops.
