4th Auction

From the terms: If paying by cash or certified check you must notify RRA within 24 hours of receiving the invoice.

Lots of words, some mean something some were added by my former partner and he liked to talk and liked to add a bunch of things I didn't agree with or want. Though some have waited until after receiving their final invoice and then sent a check for the full credit card amount. And if you are local I figure you will be coming in to pick up so I wont be sending a second invoice unless told otherwise. First invoice comes from Proxi within 24 hours. Second invoice would come from Red Rock and have a link to pay.

Whelp, it's over.

It is for me anyway. If a couple of my bids win, I'll eat my hat. I will be busy when the excitement happens. Some of the folks must be resting their mouse-clicking finger for tomorrow.

Going twice......

Got outbid on the things I thought I would, so no hat eating for me, although I was closer than I thought. Made one tactical mistake. Se la vie.

Got two smokin deals and two definitely OK…a couple more in the pot

Got a few good deals on the prior auctions. Most of my watched items this time are going for near or over retail once the vig is counted in. I sometimes wonder if folks actually know how much things cost in the wild before posting bids that are over retail. :) See the same on Nellis constantly.

I did notice one thing tonight that might make potential bidders more confident in bidding: Make the maker/model more clear.

For example, on the Sig P220 magazines I could see that some were sig, some you could not see the marking on, and one was a MecGar magazine.

Same for the 92F magazines. I could see that some were Checkmate, some looked like factory mags, but the shiny ones you could not see enough detail to know who the OE is. ProMag makes a very shiny M92F mag that I would not touch with someone else's 10' pole :)

The AK 20-round magazines could have made a much higher selling point if the bidder could rule out KCI as the maker. I was not going to take a chance that they were KCI (which are junk and sell for under $10ea).

Just some suggestions and I look forward to your next auction. Good stuff in this one.

Yeah, some better shots of end labels on ammo and the dies would have been nice for example. Brand on the M1a mags, base plate shots on some of the AR and other mags. Just more detail in general. My .02.

As for my budding, I pushed a couple higher than I wanted but got a couple deals in some other areas. I think I did OK on the 1 gun I got. 🤷‍♂️

Yes one of the main issues I have is that my photo guy isn't a gun guy, is he learning some, but not always. He is more interested in the perfect "Shot" than the details of items sometimes. And well sometimes he spends 3 minutes on a $300 item and 25 minutes on a $10 item. Some changes will be made.

I would have guessed the images were taken with a cell phone, I would not ever guess the person was even an amateur photographer.
Just being honest.

Images sell products. You want to make more $$ , invest in better images.
