Just got in 25,000 rounds of 22LR. Come and get it. Unfortunately we had to pay high dollar for it because of its scarcity.

$95 for a brick of 500

Ouch.
From what I was hearing on Guntalk and NRA News it sounds like that's not a bad price. At least we know where to find some.

I would be embarrassed and ashamed to ask $95.00 for a brick of 500. I know the store has to make a profit to stay in business and none of us know what they paid for the ammo but at some point your better off not selling it as it tends to damage your reputation and people automatically think price gouging when in fact that may not be the case.

still cheaper than gun broker. It's a Free Market Fellas. Don't like the price, then don't buy it. Of course feel free to gripe about it too, this is America after all and we have the first amendment for this reason, the right to (b****) and not be persecuted.

Guys, I don't know if this shop is gouging or just passing along the higher prices charged by the distributors (the ammunition manufacturers have not raised their prices), but it appears that your choices are:

  • buy at inflated prices
  • don't buy at inflated prices
  • complain about the lack of ammunition on store shelves
  • shop elsewhere
Crapping on this shop's thread will only ensure that they don't post notices like this in the future.

who cares if distributors are gouging or not, and/or you are gouging or not. It's a free market! It's not your job to save other people money. :jddb:

2nd Amendment Gun Shop is here to serve the people as we did in our military careers. We do not believe in gouging. I had a lot of customers requesting 22LR. It is no where to be found. I took my only day off to be with my family and drove 4 hours to get what the people have been asking for. As much as you don't like to pay the price we don't either. However there are some people that want the 22LR. I can't even offer an apology for the price because it is beyond our control.

If you guys don't want you don't have to purchase it.
